Armenta Family // Albuquerque Family Photographer

I very distinctly remember the first time I saw the back of Amanda's head. I saw the back of her head before I even saw the front of her head. She sat in front of me in a Human Resources class during our MBA program at University of New Mexico. I'm sure we were in a group together or something and we became fast and furious friends. In fact, you could say that she is literally the reason I am here (sitting here in this spot right now) today. Let me explain....

Amanda essentially got me my job at T-Mobile back in 2006. Because I worked at T-Mobile, I ended up moving to Seattle. I met my amazing husband Paul while living in Seattle. We got married and then transferred to Ridgecrest. In Ridgecrest I became a world-class (well, not yet but a girl can dream!) photographer. And now I have taken my best friends (and her families) photographs.

Boom. Full circle.

These photos have been a while in the making. The last time I was in Albuquerque, Amanda and her family came out to California for a work/vacation trip. We were literally in each others backyards during the exact same dates but neither one of us were home. ha!

This time I would NOT miss them. We met up in Civic Plaza downtown for some awesome urban shots. I could not be happier with the result. It was cloudy and even sprinkled a bit at the beginning of our session but toward the end we caught some glowing golden light coming through the buildings.

I have watched my friend grow professionally as well as through marriage and motherhood and I could not love her and her family more.

(and seriously, how stylish are they?!)

<3 you guys!
