I feel like I say this often, but this seriously might be one of my favorite sessions to date. The colors, the light, the family dynamic....

Despite the crazy winds that were going on at the time of this session, we had a ridiculously good time. I have known Melinda since HIGH SCHOOL. She is just as much fun now as she was then and her family is ridiculously fun as well, as I suspected they would be! Her boys were such good sports and had a great time making her (and me) laugh throughout the whole session. 

This family is all about baseball, so see if you can spot the hidden baseball that made its way into some of the photos. Oh and the "pre-jump" photos are always my favorite as well!!! I almost prefer them to the actual jumping photo! HA!

Melinda, THANK YOU for letting me spend this time with your family and capturing memories that you will cherish for a lifetime!! 

Ostrom Family // Large Family Photographer

When Jodi contacted me to see if I would be able to do a family session for FIFTEEN people, I was stoked! I've done a few different large family sessions before and even though they can be challenging (considering the number of people involved and getting everyone to look and have open eyes), I actually love them!! 

I love the challenge of positioning everyone and taking into consideration the families within the larger family as well as levels, colors and ages. I say the more the merrier! When Jodi told me they would like to do the photos on their property, I was even more excited! They have some fantastic areas right on their property for some great backgrounds and light. 

It was a pleasure capturing these moments for this large, friendly family who were all together again for a short time in May. Thank you for letting me share in your time!
