Kim + John // NJ Backyard Wedding

Westfield New Jersey Backyard wedding

Paul and I hadn't met Kim and John before we showed up to photograph their intimate backyard wedding in Westfield, but as soon as we arrived and met both of them we instantly felt comfortable and pretty much like we were a part of the family.

This gathering of family and friends at their home was such a special afternoon. The weather was perfect and there was hardly a cloud in the sky but the temperature was a perfect for an "almost" Fall day. As their family and friends started arriving for the ceremony, Paul and I instantly got a feel for the love and closeness that they all share with this special couple.

Their day was absolutely perfect for them. A ceremony in one half of their beautiful yard and then a tent with tables for all of their guests to enjoy a delicious catered meal with them after the ceremony was over. All of the grandkids were there playing in the Radio Flyer and enjoying the most awesome kids table I have pretty much ever seen. Legos, bubbles, cameras and more! So much fun. A s'mores station was set up for later and there was some cornhole to play as well. Everyone mingled and just enjoyed themselves. It was laid back and relaxed and an absolute perfect afternoon for everyone involved.

Even though we were only with them for a few hours on that Saturday it was such an honor to spend that time watching this family of five officially become "official". They have such a wonderful family and it was so fun to witness their unique celebration! Congrats to not only Kim and John but their family as well! Enjoy some of my favorites images from our time with them!

Keith + Kellie // A North New Jersey Firehouse Wedding

In early August of this year, I had the pleasure of 2nd shooting for Mackenzie Lane Photography for this sweet and romantic wedding that took place at a gorgeous church in Morristown and then moved on over to the Mt. Freedom Fire Station in Randolph! It was such a fun day!

The theme of this wedding was Starry Night and the DIY details that were brought together to show this theme were amazing. I got to shoot the guys getting ready at the fire station (Keith is a Firefighter who works there!) and all of the guys were so great to work with. I consider myself so blessed to work with so many other photographers who have so many awesome couples!

After that, we headed to the United Methodist Church in Morristown for the ceremony and then went to the Frelinghuysen Arboretum for photos. We almost didn't get to go there because a crazy unexpected torrential downpour occurred right as we were about to leave! But just in the knick of time the clouds parted, the rain cleared and we were able to get to the park for some bridal party shots and bride and groom portraits.

Don't forget to check out Mackenzie's post for a full story of their day!
