The Reset Workshop // Recap

Reset Workshop Recap

When Meredith initially asked me if I'd be interested in being a part of the Reset Workshop she was hosting, I was over the moon excited, honored and humbled.

I have such a passion for educating, speaking and blogging and Meredith picked up on all of that and found a perfect opportunity that would not only benefit her and her attendees, but also me and my passions and goals. Total win-win!

Meredith owns and operates Meredith Ryncarz Photography out of Newport News, VA. Even though the drive from NJ to VA is lengthy, it was nothing that was too overwhelming for me. Seven hours of coastal driving and podcast listening? Sign me up!

The Reset Workshop was specifically created for creative business owners (mostly in the wedding industry) interested in pressing the reset button at the beginning of 2017. For those specifically looking for some intentional strategies to really make the most of the momentum a lot of us feel at the beginning of a new year.

Along with Meredith and her husband Jason, and Luke and Ashley of Luke & Ashley Photography, we had a fantastic and full day of education, partnering and laughing at The Historic Post Office in Hampton, VA.

Meredith spoke on how we can all achive the creative mindset by seeing people as people, Jason spoke on all things workflow, I spoke on blogging for your ideal client and Luke and Ashley rounded up the day by speaking on how to overcome mediocre social media.

We also did a venue tour of The Historic Post Office and I took some pictures of their amazingly gorgeous bridal suite! Such a dream to shoot in!

And last but not least, some of the photos that Luke took of me while I was speaking! I am so thankful he snapped some images while I was talking!

Love in our own backyard // 5.5 years of marriage

AtHomeAnniversarySession_0112.jpg

Our adventure started a little over 6 years ago.

From almost the moment I met you, I knew that you were part of God's plan for my life. I met you at a time when I had settled into being "single". I had settled into progressing through the years knowing that maybe marriage wasn't in the plan for me. You came along and completely shook me and my "settled" life to pieces.

Our adventure has taken us to all around the Seattle area to the Mojave desert of California living in the middle of nowhere to Northern New Jersey an hour away from New York City. We have experienced heartache, unimaginable stress, cross country drives and some of the best belly laughs I have ever had in my life.

As we round out this last year of your military service, I am so excited to see where our next adventure takes us. But for now, I am so glad we have captured this time in our lives. In our own backyard...a commemoration of the time we have shared together as husband and wife, best friends and adventure buddies.

I love being "unsettled" with you.

Thank you to Jennifer from Jennifer Larson Photography for these beautiful images that captured "us" so beautifully right in our own backyard. Literally.
