Patrick+Katie // Seattle Engagement

I've known Patrick for almost my whole life. Kind of.

His mom used to babysit me. She lived next to my parents when I was born. Life took her to Seattle and eventually took me to Seattle too. Since she stayed connected to my family, she and I reconnected when I arrived in the Emerald City and her family pretty much became mine. Her two sons Ryan and Patrick became close friends during my time there and I pretty much consider them the brothers I never had.

When Patrick told me last year that he met someone, I could not have been more excited. Patrick has been patiently waiting for the right girl and pretty much the 2nd or 3rd texts we shared about Katie, I knew she was the one he would marry. I love it when that happens!

He proposed a few weeks prior to my visit to Seattle so naturally the timing could not have been better for me to take engagement photos. We headed out for an afternoon of great weather, lots of laughs and so many kisses! (Only for them of course!)

Patrick and Katie, I love your love. I can NOT wait for the day in August when you get to join the married club and begin the rest of your lives together!

The Brown Family // Seattle Family

I have known Melissa for a few years now. She and I worked together when I lived in Seattle. We clicked instantly. She has a great sense of humor. She gets things done. She is a no nonsense kind of gal and the best way I can describe her is that she just "gets it." I love people like that so it just made sense that we became friends and stayed that way even when my life took me out of the big city and into the desert.

She wanted me to take pictures of her and her kiddos last year when I went to visit but a scheduling conflict got in the way. This time around, we made it happen. We had such a fantastic time. We met for lunch to catch up and then we headed to Renton Community Center to capture some fun times. Her kids were AMAZING. So funny and smart and I just loved them.

I could not be happier with how these turned out. This is such a sweet family and I am proud to call them friends! <3 you Melissa!
