Megan + Scott // New Jersey

Auletto Catering Wedding Deptford, NJ

The forecast for the day was hot hot hot. It was supposed to reach near 100 in the afternoon. And while it was a scorcher for part of the day, in the afternoon, right before the ceremony a summer storm rolled in and dropped a ton of rain and cooled everything off just in time for these two lovebirds to walk down the aisle.

It was such a pleasure working with Megan and Scott. From our first interaction I knew they were my kind of people. Chill, laid back. Kind. They loooove their dogs. Easy to be around. They value family and respect their relationship. Getting to know them even better during our engagement session at Bushkill Falls last May and then in preparing for the big day I couldn't be more thankful that I get to interact with so many great couples and be a part of their story.

Paul and I headed to Megans parents house to shoot some of her details and were able to use this GORGEOUS sunroom with loads of beautiful natural light. Her mom Donna and dad Jim were so amazing and accommodating and made us feel like part of the family. And they introduced us (finally!) to Chase, the 2nd cutest Morkie I have ever known (I may or may not have snuck in a photo of him below)!

Megans bridesmaids Erika and Christine were so awesome and fun and a pleasure to be around. They made sure Megan was taken care of all throughout the day and were so helpful to us as well with whatever we needed!

My 2nd shooter Jen had a blast with the guys, mainly because Scott's brother Matt is a total crack up and had us all rolling most of the day.

Basically, it was (in Megan's words) the wedding of the century! Auletto was a STUNNING venue with so many beautiful areas for photo ops or just hanging out. The ceremony was emotional, the family was all having a great time and the dancefloor was on fire. Oh and did I mention the ICE CREAM TRUCK? Yup! I've decided that pretty much every wedding needs an ice cream truck to roll up during the reception! What a fun addition and the guests LOVED it!!

Megan and Scott...thank you for being an amazing #cwpcouple and for honoring us by allowing us to be there for the beginning of your story. Enjoy this sneak into your day and I can't wait to send your entire gallery and album design!!

It was the perfect day. The temperature was just right. The sky was bright blue with big puffy clouds. It was the day they had been counting down to since November, July 15th, 2016...the day they would finally become husband and wife.

As I mentioned in their engagement blog post, I've known Devon since she was a teen and it has been an honor and privilege to see her grow into the mature woman she has become.

Everything about their day was so incredibly special. The excitement was palpable leading up to their first look and when they finally got to see each other.....I could hardly hold back the tears myself as they took in a few moments to themselves before they were to commit the rest of their lives to each other before God, friends and family.

Devon and David are two incredibly special people who are being used powerfully by God to do great work and I am confident that their union as husband and wife is only the beginning of everything God has planned for them.

I am so honored they chose me to capture the beginning of their story and I love the memories and moments that Paul and I were able to document for them and their family. My absolute favorite moment was their hug in the room in the back right before they signed their certificate, when it had all sunk in...they were finally husband and wife!!!

My second favorite moment was when they noticed the framed photo on their table at the reception. Devons mom got them the frame a while back and she and I planned on getting them a photo from their portrait session in the frame that same day. It was tough, but we did it, and the looks on both of their faces was priceless when they realized what it was.

Devon, I love you and have so enjoyed watching you grow up and become the woman you are. David, it is a pleasure to now know you better and understand why it is that Devon loves you so much. Enjoy these images and your gallery will be coming soon!
